Wyndham Releases 2021 Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Report Outlining Its Commitment to Acting in a Socially, Ethically and Environmentally Responsible Manner

“As the world’s largest hospitality company, we have a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the world while fulfilling our mission of making hotel travel possible for everyone,” said Geoffrey A. Ballotti, President and CEO, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts. “Today, more than ever, we must help ensure that the future remains bright for travelers while continuing to build a culture in which everyone feels welcomed and appreciated.

Community response and COVID-19

As a hotel business, service and volunteerism are part of Wyndham’s culture. Team members and franchisees rallied during the pandemic to actively engage in their communities, generously donating time and resources to improve the lives of others. Examples are numerous and include:

  • The Wyndham Garden Dallas North in Texas, which provided 300 hotel rooms for first responders at the height of the pandemic.
  • Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Niagara Falls, New York, where the hotel owner and his family handcrafted over 2,000 masks for the community when they desperately needed them.
  • The Ramada Suites by Wyndham Remarkables Park Queenstown, New Zealand welcomed eight new babies when the nearest hospital had to relocate its maternity ward due to the pandemic.

Wyndham’s owner-first mentality allowed the vast majority of franchisees – who are primarily small business owners – to keep their hotels open during the pandemic, when people traveled less. The company offered several fee exemptions and extensions, access to hospital-grade cleaning and safety products at discounted prices when these items were hard to find, and relaxed housekeeping requirements that helped reduce water and energy consumption. Whether hotels accommodate vacationers seeking an escape to national parks and beaches, or accommodate everyday business travelers such as utility workers and construction crews, health and safety protocols ” Count on Us ”the company continue to provide guests with peace of mind during their stay. with Wyndham.

Wyndham is committed to operating in a sustainable manner so as to provide exceptional experiences for those it serves.
