Update: Murfreesboro teenager dies after February 28 shooting

The 15-year-old victim of a shooting at the Baymont Inn & Suites in late February has died, according to police detectives.
The teenager suffered significant injuries and died on Monday March 8.
Charges for the shooter, Deshawn Wells, 18, should be turned into manslaughter.
Wells remains in jail at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on $ 150,000 bail. He is due in court on July 22.

Patrollers responded to a call for fire shortly before 11 a.m. on Sunday and discovered the 15-year-old had been injured in a hotel room at the Baymont Inn & Suites on Armory Dr.
The 15-year-old was taken by helicopter to a Nashville hospital where he is listed in critical condition.
The victim and four other people, adults and minors, were inside the hotel room on the second floor when the shooting took place.
Investigators are still trying to determine the motive for the shooting.

Wells is still being held at the Rutherford County Adult Detention Center on $ 150,000 bail. A hearing is scheduled for July 22 at Rutherford County General Sessions Court.

The shooting took place around 10:53 a.m. on Sunday, February 28 at the Baymont Inn & Suites on Armory Drive in Murfreesboro.
A male victim was taken to a local hospital for treatment; his condition is unknown.
Detectives are trying to determine how and why the victim was shot. No other information at this time.
