Natrona County Health and Food Inspections (3/28/22–4/3/22)

CASPER, Wyo. – The Casper-Natrona County Health Department (CNCHD) inspects restaurants, grocery stores, convenience stores, mobile food units, commissaries and food vending operations. Each establishment is subject to an unannounced inspection at least twice a year.

According to the CNCHD, “there are three types of violations: priority, basic priority and fundamental”.

While the CNCHD looks for loopholes, the body’s main goal is to educate companies, help them understand unsafe practices and ways to correct them.

According to Ruth Heald, environmental health program manager for Natrona County, “there is no sliding scale or pass or fail health inspection.” She says every violation is fixed immediately or within 10 days, which means a violation does not make the business unsafe.

If a re-inspection is needed, the problem may have been more serious or it took longer for the installation to fix it. They have ten days to resolve the issue and, according to Heald, most facilities can easily meet the requirement.

Any serious violations or notable citations will be included in the summary notes below, but each restaurant’s full report can be viewed on the CNCHD website, where they post all of their current information.
