The Wood County Health Department inspected restaurant operations from Perrysburg to North Baltimore during the last week of April.

The following inspections were carried out on April 26.

Woodland Elementary, 27979 White Road, Perrysburg, had one critical and one non-critical infraction.

It was essential that temperature-controlled foods were not kept cold at the wrong temperature. It was fixed during the inspection.

Handwashing sink water below 100°F was not critical.

North Baltimore Convenience Station, 101 S. Main St., had one critical infraction and two non-criticals.

Insufficient air gap between flood edge and water supply inlet was critical (repeat).

Non-critical where equipment components are not intact, tight or properly adjusted; and non-food contact surfaces not cleaned at the required frequency.

McDonald’s, 12776 Deshler Road, North Baltimore, had one critical and two non-critical infraction.

The critical point was the inappropriate use of time as a public health control (4 hours). It was fixed during the inspection.

Non-critical where surfaces of equipment that do not come into contact with food are dirty; and the facility is not kept clean. Both were recurrences.

Burger King, 10796 Fremont Pike, Perrysburg, had one critical and one non-critical infraction.

The inappropriate use of time as a public health control (four hours) was critical. It was fixed during the inspection.

Not critical if facility was not kept clean (repeat).

Briar Hill Health Campus, 600 Sterling Drive, North Baltimore, committed one critical violation and two non-critical violations.

Chlorine sanitizing solution was critical at incorrect temperature and/or concentration (repetition).

Not critical if no disinfectant test kit was available; and non-food contact surfaces not cleaned at the required frequency. Both were recurrences.

Quality Inn, 10621 Fremont Pike, Perrysburg, had two critical and three non-critical violations.

Criticism where employees are not verifiably informed of their responsibility to report information about their health; and temperature-controlled ready-to-eat foods that are improperly discarded as needed. Both were fixed upon inspection.

Non-critical method for cooling food at controlled temperature (repeated, corrected during inspection); hard-to-clean non-food contact surfaces (repeat); and equipment not approved by a recognized testing agency.

Carillon Place Market, 931 E. Wooster St.-Carillon Place Dining Center BGSU, Bowling Green, committed a non-critical violation of hard-to-clean non-food contact surfaces.

Offenhauer’s Market, 522 W. Thurstin Ave., Bowling Green, had a non-critical violation, which was hard-to-clean non-food contact surfaces.

The Kreischer Dining Room, 311 Mercer Road, Bowling Green, had four non-critical infractions, which were hard-to-clean non-food contact surfaces (repeat); surfaces of equipment that do not come into contact with food are dirty; physical facilities not maintained in good condition (repetition); and the facility is not kept clean (repeat).

Kreischer’s Market, 311 Mercer Road, Bowling Green, had a non-critical violation, which was hard-to-clean non-food contact surfaces.

The following inspections were carried out on April 27.

During a follow-up inspection, All Saints Catholic School, 630 Lime City Road, Rossford, had a non-critical infraction that the components of the equipment were not intact, tight or properly fitted.

Penn Station East Coast Subs, 10015 Fremont Pike, Perrysburg, had one critical offense and two non-criticals.

Critical was the poor storage of poisonous or poisonous materials. It was fixed during the inspection.

Non-critical surfaces were non-food contact surfaces constructed with unapproved materials; and the facility is not kept clean (repeat).

During a follow-up inspection, McDonald’s Corporation, 10163 Fremont Pike, Perrysburg, had five non-critical violations, namely that equipment and utensils are not air-dried; surfaces of equipment that do not come into contact with food are dirty; the plumbing system is not properly maintained or repaired; floor and wall junctions are not properly covered or closed and/or floor drains are not provided; and the facility is not kept clean.

Doc’s Rib Cage, 18625 Main St., Tontogany, committed a non-critical violation of non-food contact surfaces not being cleaned at the required frequency.

Jimmy John’s, 10081 Fremont Pike, Perrysburg, had one critical and one non-critical infraction.

The quaternary ammonium sanitizing solution was critical at the wrong temperature, concentration and/or water hardness. It was fixed during the inspection.

Mops were not dried properly (repeat, fixed on inspection).

The following inspections were carried out on April 28.

Comfort Suites, 27450 Helen Drive, Perrysburg, had two non-critical infractions, namely use of latex gloves in the food service or food retail establishment; and equipment not approved by a recognized testing agency (repetition).

Baymont by Wyndham, 27441 Helen Drive, Perrysburg, had four critical and four non-critical violations.

The criticisms were the quaternary ammonium sanitizing solution at the incorrect temperature, concentration and/or water hardness; temperature-controlled foods are not kept hot at the correct temperature; foods that are not refrigerated at the correct temperature (repeat); and mislabeled work containers containing poisonous or toxic materials. All were fixed upon inspection.

Not critical were poor food storage (repetition); equipment not approved by a recognized testing agency; non-durable equipment observed; and unnecessary or non-functional items and/or waste on the premises.

On a follow-up inspection, Second Floor Kitchen, Bowen-Thompson Student Union, 806 Ridge St., Bowling Green, had five non-critical violations, namely unwashed or improperly washed raw fruits and/or vegetables; hard-to-clean non-food contact surfaces; surfaces of equipment that do not come into contact with food are dirty; the plumbing system is not properly maintained or repaired; and the facility is not kept clean.

The following inspections were carried out on April 29.

All About the Kids Learning Center LLC, 520 Ordway Ave., Bowling Green, committed a non-critical violation of using latex gloves in the food service or food retail establishment.

During a follow-up inspection, Falcon Nest Food Court, Bowen-Thompson Student Union, 806 Ridge St., Bowling Green, had two non-critical infractions, namely hard-to-clean non-food contact surfaces; and physical facilities that are not maintained in good condition.

Sleek Academy LLC, 519 Ordway Ave., Bowling Green, committed a non-critical violation that hair ties were not worn when serving meals to students.

No violations were found at Rossford School PK-5, 28500 Lime City Road; Haskins concession stand, 202 S. Findlay St.; BGSU – Maurer Center, Cafe/Café, 819 E. Wooster St., Bowling Green; Frank’s Fries #5, 601 E. Crocker St., Bradner; Bowling Green PeeWee League, Carter Park, Bowling Green; Perrysburg Junior High School, 550 E. South Boundary; Snuffy’s Reloaded Bar & Grill, 1313 E. Bowling Green Road, Bradner; and Daily Queen, 130 S. Main St., North Baltimore.
