Ex-Girardi Keese Attys Can’t Dodge Stolen Settlement Claims


Law360 (July 19, 2021, 10:07 p.m. EDT) – An Illinois federal judge on Monday refused to dismiss claims by Chicago-based PC company Edelson that two former Girardi Keese PC partners helped Tom Girardi steal funds settlement, ruling that the court has jurisdiction over the two California attorneys while agreeing to stay part of the litigation until the firm’s bankruptcy case is resolved.
