Baymont Hotels Celebrate National Pet Day by Seeking “Baymont Companion of the Year”
A lucky, well-trained, photograph-ready puppy will become the new brand ambassador, landing a leading role in an upcoming digital pet marketing campaign while the puppy’s ‘parents’ receive travel benefits including including a weekend getaway for two and paycheck for $ 2,500.
Baymont’s search for its Buddy of the Year comes amid a wave of dog adoptions, sales and placements in 2020, with a recent survey by Rover, the largest network of pet sitters and of five-star dog walkers nationwide, noting that nearly half of pet parents had recently acquired a new dog during the pandemic.

One lucky puppy will be chosen to serve as the hairy-faced ambassador for Baymont and its pet-friendly offerings, taking part in a professional photoshoot later this year and serving as the star of an upcoming digital marketing campaign. Meanwhile, the parents of the proud puppy will receive a free weekend for two, Wyndham Rewards Diamond Membership, and a paycheck for $ 2,500. Think your furry baby has what it takes to be the Baymont Buddy of the Year? Proud pet parents can submit their best photos on www.baymontinns.com/buddy. In addition to the photo submission, applicants should share a brief description (250 words or less) explaining why their puppy is the perfect candidate to be the very first Brand Ambassador. Preference will be given to puppies that have been formally trained, with a history of being able to play on camera. Submissions will be accepted until 11:59 p.m. ET at May 4, 2021. The winning candidate will be selected on or about June 1, 2021.
