Are you celebrating New Years Eve in Jackson? Here’s how to get around for free.

JACKSON, MI – Experience Jackson is partnering with the Jackson Area Transportation Authority to provide free shuttle service to passengers on New Years Eve.

The Bus With Us program will run JATA buses from 6 p.m. on Friday, December 31 to 2 a.m. on Saturday, January 1 for those looking for a free and safe alternative to driving.

“We are delighted to be a partner to help promote a safe New Years Eve experience,” said Michael D. Brown, senior executive director and CEO of JATA, in a statement.

Buses will carry passengers on two routes from downtown Jackson and select Jackson County hotels. Pickups will be continuous overnight, including downtown stops every 30 minutes in front of the Jackson County Chamber of Commerce and the Experience Jackson Building, 134 W. Michigan Ave.

  • Holiday Inn Express: 3506 O’Neil Drive – Every half hour and hour
  • Holiday Inn Jackson: 2696 Bob McClain Drive – 40 past and 10 past the hour
  • Home2Suites: 2704 Bob McClain Drive – 45 after and 15 after the hour

Route 2 (BLUE)

  • Courtyard by Marriott: 2010 Bondsteel Drive, Baymont Inn & Suites: 2035 Bondsteel Drive and TownePlace Suites by Marriott: 2002 Bondsteel Drive – every half hour and hour
  • Tru by Hilton: 2401 Shirley Drive, Comfort Inn & Suites: 2435 Shirley Drive and Fairfield Inn & Suites: 2395 Shirley Drive – 40 after and 10 after the hour
  • Hampton Inn: 2225 Shirley Drive and Quality Inn: 2001 Shirley Drive – 45 after and 15 after the hour
